Hey Jordan,

I am all moved in to my new room and it is all horses. I went in a saw Poki and Daisy on Tuesday and Daisy was being a bit snootynot that bad but still. Poki always the same good but (poki) just like his name tehe! When me and sarah had our lesson on thursday we were doing these horse pappers when there were turkeys coming then more and more there were so many they were all going in Roxy's pen Roxy did not seem to mind It was funny because Roxy was suronded by Turkeys. Hi Everyone!
I hope I have not lead you to think that Jordan is the same Jordan we knew before the accident. For those of you who have not gotten to see Jordan, she looks the same and is beautiful but she cannot talk or move her left side right now as a result of her injury. It is upsetting to see her and know she cannot communicate with you. She will look at you but she is not the same as she once was. We put her in a wheelchair to get her around and we have been told we will need to make modifications at home for this accessability. They are not sure if she will ever walk or talk again - this is what I meant to say but was trying to put it in different words as not to upset anyone. Jordan is fighting every day to get stronger. You can tell in her frustration and her pushing everyone away from her with her right arm. She cannot even hold her own head up but is trying to strengthen her muscles every day so she will be able to. She cannot sit up on her own. The therapists will work with Jordan to try to get her muscles strong enough so that she can do some of these things hopefully on her own. I will do the therapy when they are not around so she is getting all she can handle.
We love Jordan as she is. It is like having her as a baby again. In time (lots of time) we hope that she will learn to talk or walk again (hopefully both). But time is what she/we need right now. It should take us about 9 MORE MONTHS to be able to tell whether or not she has stopped progressing. She/we are not giving up. She is not a quitter.
Thank you for your support for us. We are going to need all we can get!!!!

OCTOBER 3RD ~ WEDNESDAY

Hi Everyone.
We had our "Team" meeting regarding Jordan yesterday. We learned that Jordan is NO LONGER in a coma and her medical status is a result of her brain injury. We have decided to stop VISITORS at this time as it is not working out as we had planned with Jordans medical treatments. She is extremely busy all day with therapy and when she is not busy she should be resting for more healing time. With just immediate family with her at these times is also proving to be too much for her. They have predicted that we will remain at the hospital for another 4-5 months. Their hope would be to have us home for Christmas but that may not be possible. Please know that Jordan is STILL PROGRESSING and that she may still come a long way from where she is at this time. We are extremely hopeful that she will talk & walk someday. We BELIEVE and know that Jordan is a fighter and she will not give up. We want to call this our starting point and now we will work with the therapists and doctors to see how far we can get her down this progress scale. Please know that we would like to have you all visit and too see everyone but this is too difficult at this time.
Thank you for EVERYTHING.... your love, support, prayers, e-mails and generosity that you have given us to allow us to be with Jordan all of the time. We are humbled by this more than you could ever imagine. We still need your support to bring her home someday so please do not give up HOPE!!!!

Heya Emersons! I just wanted to say that my dad and I tried to come in on.....Monday.....afternoon...(srry I'm bad at remembering these things!) but the nurses had to, quote on quote, "poitely decline" cause jordy was sleeping an you gus weren't there. I wanted to make sure you knew, Brenda and Jim, cause I didn't want to think we aren't making any effort to come! We'll try again as soon as we have some time to breathe.
