Saturday, September 1st

Hi Everyone.

Jordan was moved back up to the Barbara Bush Wing yesterday. She looks beautiful and her skin is "glowing" again! Although she is better and does not need to be in the ICU they have still asked to reduce the visitors to immediate family for now. Don't worry - we will let you know as soon as she can receive visits. One of her therapists asked me something yesterday and I know I had talked with Terry & Julie about this before. Instead of making a tape recorded tape of her friends have someone video them so she could hear their voices or when she is able ~ she could watch them as well!! Jordan had a really good restful night last night and of course I stayed with her! I am learning a lot over these past few days and I want to take her in my arms and leave this place but I know that is not what is best for her. It is our belief she is getting better and better every day and stronger and stronger. She has to with all the love, prayer and support she is receiving from all of you. Keep those energies coming (we believe they are working!) We love all of you and can't wait for the day to thank you all in person. There are just too many to even start to list and I would never want to leave anyone out. We are just so truely greatful to everyone!!

I'm sure you don't remember me but this is your Uncle Walter's daughter Nancy.

From all of the posts on here sounds like you have yourself one heck of a young lady there!!

Our family lives outside of Atlanta and, as an RN I actually worked at Shepard Center which is where Jordan would be if they sent her here.

We have several horses to help Jordan along in her recovery!! Our youngest daughter, Samantha, is a horse trainer.

I have been keeping up with all of the updates and you all are in our thoughts and prayers every day.

You keep saying how strong Jordan is, but it sounds like you and Jimmy are pretty strong too!!

Keep the faith!! I have you guys on several prayer lists!!

I'm thinking about you

Hi Jordan,
You don't know me, but I know Jen. What a sweetie she is and loves you so much. Jen and I met at work, she knows that I have horses, and shared with me your story and love for horses as well. Last Spring when I was trimming their bridlepaths, I saved the pieces and made a little ponytail out of them. I have it hanging in my office. Every once in a while I take it down, close my eyes, and smell it. sounds weird I know, but it just makes me so calm and happy. I got to thinking the other day that maybe you would like that too. Treat is my 27 yr old Standardbred mare. so yesterday morning while she was eating her grain, I told her what I was going to do. She sort of turned an looked at me while I was cutting the small lock of mane. I told her it was for a very special young lady, and she seemed just fine with that. It just so happened that I saw Jen first thing in the morning and gave her the gift.
I think about you so much, and your Mom and Dad. I send lots of healing strength your way, and of course horse whinnies and licks :)
I would love to have you come meet Treat when you are better. I am pretty certain you two would get along just great.

Hey Guys!!

Hey Jordan, Jimmy, and Brenda!
I just wanted to share some of the good times Jordan and I have had! omg remember on new years eve and you guys all came over. then we all begged if jordan could stay the night and she did! as soon as the new year came we went inside and jammed out to Welcome To The Black Parade (the first song we heard this year!!). omg that was awesome!! Then when i came over to your house the night after one of the races.. and we got frostys! lol. then the next day we set up an obstacle course for biscuit! hahahaha. omg that was awesome!then when you guys came in to visit corey in the hospital you and ash had gummy bears and ash was singing some weirdo song about em LOL! and ur dad re-named corey to pooh-bear haha. then the next thing we know my bro (ur dad) and i are sittin in the car and u ash and ur mom come running accross the busiest intersection in portland!!! omg that was halarious. then u became my cup holder... (by the way.. i could have used my little cup holder the other night at BRMS.. i had just bought a water and taylor knocked it down the bleachers!!! lol). then that night at ur house was halarious.. but im not going to go over everything that happened there.. no one else needs to know that.. but ash was the only one that fell asleep on the BIG bed lol. then somehow like 2 weeks later u and me convinced our parents to let u stay 2 nights at my house and we took ash's earrings ahahahahha...(she kinda found out about that btw. lol) and that night u told me north conway was in Maine.. then Mass. haha wow. we had some great times and MANY more to come!

hi jordan! ugh, when i heard about your spa treatment i was sooooooo jealous!!!! i have to sit at a dull brown desk everyday while your geting your hair done, toenails painted, and massages??!!! not fair!! :)
i can't wait to come see u again! i miss u soooo much! every couple hours (except 4 when im in........*sigh*.......skool----ick i cant believe i said it!) im checking this website. its like my little window to u!

Thursday, August 30th

Hi Everyone-
As you saw from Jenny's note ~ the night before last Jordan had her own spa treatment. The nurses are having fun with her. They put her hair in two french braids, she got a massage and her toenails painted hot pink. They even shaved her legs!! (please don't tell Jordan I told you that!) They said when they got done around 5:30am she was so relaxed. I'm sure it felt so good to her.

We have to say we are very saddened about the press hounding us day after day. We have requested that they give us the space and PRIVACY we deserve at this VERY DIFFICULT TIME!! However, they have choosen to do things anyway against our wishes. Please do not listen to anything that is said or printed unless it is from a reliable source! They choose to take things off of these websites so remember anything you print can be used against you. We HAVE NOT and WILL NOT grant any information regarding Jordan and her status. So please forgive us for being more private and cautious as to who we talk to with information as we go forward.
However we will NOT STOP this site as it is our support and lifeline to all of you and we are so greatful we have this.

Update: Jordan is doing great. She has gotten stronger each day. She is now getting the nutrition and feeds that she needs. She is so beautiful and the nurses and doctors are amazed with her strength in the last 2 days. She is still asleep and resting.

We THANK EVERYONE for their prayers, love, support and the fund raising that is being done. It is our belief that this energy is what will bring her back to us and keep her healing everyday.

Wednesday, August 29th

Hi Everyone!

I want to start by saying that the local media does not have approval and has never interviewed us for any reports that are happening and will not. It saddens us to think this is being done against our will and an invasion of our privacy at this VERY DIFFICULT time.

On the flip side - I can't help but be excited to see how much Jordan has improved since Saturday! I called her nurse at 5:30am this morning and she told me Jordan had just had a spa treatment. Some nurses got together and french braided her hair in two braids & painted her toenails "hot pink" and Jordan was sleeping very deeply after her massage. I don't know about you but whenever I have anything done like that it relaxes me and puts me to sleep as well. I couldn't wait to see her this morning and , as always she looks so BEAUTIFUL!! She is having some more tests done today but nothing she can't handle. She is so amazing and I can't wait for those of you who haven't met Jordan to meet her someday. She will melt your heart!!The request at this time is still no visitors.

Again - THANK YOU EVERYONE and keep those positive prayers and support coming! We all need it. We love reading all of the messages.Also thank you for the fundraising we are hearing about. We are truely greatful and amazed!

Something to remind you

Hi Jordan,

I can't wait to come in today to see you. A friend of mine at work, Deb, cut part of her horses mane and gave it to me to bring into you. I hope the smell and touch of the mane will remind you of your love for horses (Larissa, Cochina, Doc, Pokey, Cherokee) and give you some extra strength. It was so nice seeing you yesterday. I was able to brush your cheek and give you kisses. Yesterday the nurses painted your toe nails, massaged you and played with your hair (my favorite)! Of course I'm especially jealous that you had your hair played with becuase thats my ultimate favorite treat. I can't wait for you to be able to play with my hair again. :) I'll be over in just a couple of hours to visit with you.

Hi Jordan! I'm glad you're feeling better and improving within each night. I can't wait to see you back on you're own two feet again! It wasn't the same not seeing you school. Although it was sort of a drag, I had have loved to see you there. Everyone is worried and hope that you will arrive back at school soon! i try to write my messages to you in bright and happy colers hoping to spread the happiness and faith around. Jordan, it is the first day of school today, unfortunatly you are not here to "enjoy" it with us...RIIIGHT. As my teacher read off the attendance this morning I heard your name and got excited...but then she said that you had switched classes..bummer. It was fun to see everyone, and how they changed over the summer, (still no cuties!!) ;) Well I have to go and do homework, can you beleive it ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

hey jordy! its spring. i just got off the bus from school. that sentence sounds horrible, mainly because it has the 's' word in it. jordan, believe me when i say that that 1st day of BEEEEEEEEEEP was not the same with out you! im sure if i said 'get well so u can come to school' u'd stay right as u r and never wake up!!! :P so ill just say that we all miss u, love u, and cant wait to c u!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday, August 28th

Hi Everyone,
Well it's Tuesday morning and I cant help but be a little sad as I know today would have been Jordan's first day in 8th grade. I don't think she was really looking forward to the school work but she SURELY was looking forward to her friends & teachers! I hope you all will keep notes so she doesn't miss out on ANY gossip! Girls.....I'm counting on you! And boys don't be afraid to send her a line! She liked you too!!It also makes me sad that she is not going to Crystals every Monday for her lessons. She couldn't wait each week and would count down the days.

Update:
Jordan is doing MUCH better and they are talking maybe by Friday she could come back to the Barbara Bush wing if she keeps on improving like she is. She is way stronger that Jimmy or I even knew! She is resting comfortably and is looking so much better hour to hour. We are requesting no visitors because Jordans tollerance to getting infections is down and we cannot take any risks that she may get sick again.Again - we had no idea how many hearts have touched her and we are ALL building on the strengths of prayers and well wishes! We cannot thank you all enough for this. The staff here is truely amazed by the support behind Jordan. She is a VERY SPECIAL girl!!

Thank you for the fund raisers, cards and e-mails and "Bring them On"!We are ALL going to get through this together and be an amazing support for Jordan throughout her life!

Hi Jordan! I have been thinking about you so much since I heard that you were in the hospital. As we begin school tomorrow, LOTS of us at Windham Middle School will be missing you a whole bunch! I absolutely LOVED having you in my 6th grade Family and Consumer Science class and know that Ms. Avore enjoyed having you in her class last year! I hope that you get stronger and stronger with each passing day as we have lots of fun things planned for you and your friends for the new school year. We are planning to cook pancakes, pizza, muffins and maybe even peanut butter fudge! I know that you will love making all of these things! Please tell your Mom and Dad that I am thinking of them too. Hey Jordan. Sorry I haven't posted a message in awhile. I've been busy with school starting and all. Can you believe it....school is starting already?!? Wow, this summer flew by! Anyways, I am glad to hear that you have made some improvement through last night after that "bump in the road." I know you will be just fine. You wouldn't believe all the support you have in Windham. Jordan, you are quite popular here! So many people have come to help and have been so great about donating things for the fundraisers that we are doing. When you are able to have visitors, I am definitley going to go in and see you. "bump in the road"

Hi Everyone, Jordan has had a set-back yesterday afternoon that was not her fault. She is now back in the Intesive Care Unit. We are requesting NO VISITORS at this time and until further notice. Jordan is showing the doctors and nurses how strong she is. Her stomach is not digesting her formula and medication at the rate she was being fed resulting in some going into her lungs which has caused pneumonia and her bowels are blocked and full. The nurses are working on her every minute to make her feel better. She has had a lot of improvement so far through the night. Please keep the prayers and well wishes coming! Jordan sure needs them right now!!!
