Hello Jordy!!!! It's Spring. I wish I could have come in today, but i was buried in homework and I have soccer games all tomorrow so i probably won't be able to come then either. (i'll try my hardest though!!) i miss your hugs already and i don't know what im going to do without seeing your smiling face!!!
On a slightly lighter note, alyssa emailed me saying that for her b-day, instead of asking for presents, she wants donations for u!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is sooooooooooooo awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ill probably donate, like, a million dollars!!!! Spring told me when you two were going through her scrapbook that i was in, spring pointed to the picture of me and said " thats maradi, do you remember her?" and you said "yes" i almost cried when she told me because youre doing so much better! i honestly kept asking her every single time i saw her because i loved hearing that yes. Ashleigh,Spring,Kelsey & much much more (& me!) miss you! My birthday was on october 20th. i think about you alot and the Ithaca team teachers miss ya! you might not remeber but i am on the team you were on last year! I reallly wanna seee you! & i hope i do!

Hi Jordan. It's Alyssa. I'm can't even say how proud I am of you! You have come such a long way! Halloween is coming up and you're eating chocolate! I don't even know how I'm going to survive without candy this year. I have a pallet expander and I can't have any gooey or hard candy! But, I can have chocolate, so it's all good! I can't wait to come in and see you. Mrs. Leroy reads your posts everyday to see how you're doing. So do a lot of other teachers. My birthday party is coming up. It's too bad you can't be there. Chocolate - Yay!

Jordan. I bet you are so happy to be eating chocolate again!! Halloween is in 5 days! I remember last year we went together! That was so much fun! Remember when we went to my grandparents house next door and we wouldn't go near the door!! It was so scary, they had a bunch of REALLY scary decorations and the door was open!! My mom thought you'd never come back to our house after that! It was scary!

It is so great to hear how well you are doing! It is amazing to think that soon you will be back in Windham! You are incredible and I cannot wait to see you again!

Hey Jordan. It sure was great to see you yesterday. We were so thrilled to see how well you are doing and how beautiful you look! I think you grew a few inches since you have been in the hospital!!! I hope you like the prayer shawl. We have been wanting to give it to you for quite some time - my sister and nieces had it made especially for you. I am glad you held it up to your cheek and felt how soft it was. It will be so nice to snuggle with! Keep it close to your side and remember how much all your friends love you! Sally and I can't wait to come in and see you again. Our visit with you meant more to us that words could ever say. You are truly an inspiration and we are so proud of you!!!

FRIDAY - October 26th

Hi Everyone!
As you have all heard by now Jordan is doing great! She gets really down on herself and frustrated that she cannot do so many things but we all remind her of what she can do and compliment her on those and tell her it all will come back but it's going to take time to learn again. She is still whispering but is getting more clearer to understand. The doctor looked at Jordan's vocal cords and they are o.k. so it will just be time before her voice will come back but we sure love being able to talk to her!! Some swears she says and hand gestures she does are hard to hear but the staff warned us this would happen and prepared us for this. She needs alot of support right now especially from her friends. She needs them to talk to her and not be afraid of her condition. She wants to come home really bad. She does not like her therapy very much because now she can tell us it hurts her. We just keep telling her we need to do this so she can walk again. The nurses all love her and we love them. She has had some good visits with her friends. I think now is the time to start having friends come into say a quick hi ~ but not all at once. It's easier if we know you are coming and can set up a scheduled time to see her. But just know that her scheduled can change at any time. It may be best for some to wait until Jordan is home back in Windham to visit. Jordan is extremely sensitive to light and noise. If there are too many people or conversations at once she gets aggrivated really easily. She also gets tired very easily as well. She can sit up with assistance. She did take 2 steps but we have to hold on to her. She can hold her head up for longer periods of time on her own now but her neck gets tired easily. She is eating a blended diet and is getting better with swallowing and chewing. Her left leg is starting to move and we are so very proud of Jordan!! She has worked so hard to get to where she is. Today I put her on the couch in the room so she could look out the window.
She even tried pumpkin pie. (don't tell the nurses!! I gave her some chocolate yesterday.
Have to go for now so have a great weekend. We cannot wait to see what Jordan will do next!

Jordan, you truly are everyone's role model. I believe the amount of praying and love, and your strength has brought you through this recovery. We miss you at Windham Middle School, and are all hoping that we will all be able to see you again. I am glad that you have progressed, oh my gosh. Hopefully I will be able to see you soon. A lot of people at school complain about having little scars, or being fat, or short. But, I think when people look into your eyes, they will realize that you are so strong, and you will be a great leader as you go on in life. I hope that not only will you blend out, but you will be able to share your progressing story with those around you. I hope you keep your faith, and hop. JUST BELIEVE. Believe is what tour blue bracelet says, hint that I'm writing in blue, and I believe that is what we all must do as we go on in our lives. Many people believe they will get the newest thing, or the best thing. But, I think with your recovery, all we need to believe in is each other. Because we are the world, we are the future, we are a building that never stops growing, and how much we love you will never descend, and how much we care for each other, for the world, shall remain strong. We will never fall apart, you want to know why? Because all of us have souls, and hearts, we are all different, but we all have a little thing in our hearts, something called fire. Hey Jordan!

This afternoon I came in to see you. It was truly amazing. I had so much fun talking to you. You have made so much progress in such a little amount of time! Your room was so cool, you had all kinds of pictures on the walls that brought back a lot of fun memories that I've shared with you. I also got to see your new horse! Wow, she is pretty! It just melted my heart when you said that you missed us and then you said that you loved us. Also your Aunt Kim said, "These friends right here, Jordan, are your friends forever." And you whispered back, "Yes, they are." It made me feel so good inside, no words can explain how I felt.
You are doing so great, Jordan! Every single day I pray for you and your family. Keep up the good work. Believe!
