Hey Jordan

I am so excited to hear that you are doing better and that you even went out of the hospital! I go onto the blog every day in chorus and I check to see your progress, I haven't gotten caught YET!! Thats cool that your prize was the Cheetah Girl CD...do you remember the good times on the bus when you and BeBe rehursed the lines from the first movie, and I was your audience? Now I don't know who to sit with on the bus because you aren't there anymore because you moved. It will be a LOOOONG FCS class with out you there... I will have to cook with Kevin and clean the dishes TWICE because he leaves the peanut butter crusties in the plates grooosss. Thinking about that now I remember alot, like when Rusty burnt the cookies, and when Ben was spazing out because he didn't like the smell of eggs! HAHA pretty good times. Can't wait to see you...soon!

You Made My Day !!!!!!

Jordan you and your parents made my day today !!!! I was so happy that you wanted to stop by the house to see me !!!! You look great. I really want you to call me when you are home for good so I can come and see you. I told the girls that you came by our house and they were mad that I did not find them to come out to see you. When you are home I will bring them over to your house.

You are such a strong girl! Keep up the good work and give all your doctors something to talk about.

Great job Jordan you are doing so well. Meghan and Sarah went to Equine Affair in Mass yesterday and Will be there for the weekend. I am calling Meghan tomorrow so i can tell her your great progress she will be so exited. On Tuesday i went and saw the minis. I was raining so I took them in the barn to dry off. I can not wait in till you come home I am so exited! But I am sure you are more exited then I am. That is great that you got to go out of the hospital that must of self great! We got report cards back today and I did well. November is going by fast. And it will be soon December when you get to come home and you will get to see your doggies kitties and Horsey's again.It is going to be my Birthday at the end of November the 25. I am exited about that because then it will be December soon and you will be coming home. Curly is here with me in the room and he misses you to. There is a horse show tomorrow at Crystals I am riding Annie! That is so cool that you are getting a wheel chair with your two favorite colors on it. It is going to look great. Well you just keep on improving and keep up the good work and I hope to see you soon.

Good News!

Hi Jordan Bea!!! I'm so happy for you! When I was reading your last blog, it made me want to go to McDonalds too! Now I have a craving. Once in a while I still pop in my Chettah Girls CD and sing all the songs we used to sing together. Of course that brings back memories about playing house and playing barbies and playing outside. Thank-you for the "Happy Birthday." I was so glad to hear from you guys. It's good to hear your voice Jordan Bea! Jimmy, I'm sorry I haven't been posting your name in blog for having strep throat, but here it is. Jimmy, Brenda and Jordan, I'm glad your strep throat is getting better. I just read read the blog you posted and I cryed. I am soooo HAPPY with your progess. I can't even use words to say what I am thinking I am so Happy that you ate at McDonald's today. That is so great that you have had great success to be able to leave. I am still crying while typing this and I am very sorry that you all have strep throat. I get it all the time and it is not fun.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9TH

Hi Everyone! Jordan, Jimmy & I all had strep throat so I am glad that nobody caught it from us. We are still on antibiotics for 10 days to get rid of it.
Today was a really big day for Jordan. She got her 1st day pass to go out of the hospital. Her two therapists, Marissa & Tammy, Jordan and myself took a taxi to McDonalds near the mall. We stayed for a short time and Jordan had a cheeseburger, ff & vanilla shake! Then we took another taxi back to the hospital. Jordan (as usual) was getting car sick and put the window down a couple of times for "fresh" air. I know this doesn't seem like much but it was a huge step for Jordan and she was wiped out for the afternoon after we got back. She was too tired for anything. Her new wheelchair is coming on Tuesday. It is Lime Green & black. It looks really cool. She is still whispering and we are trying to teach her to use her vocal cords. Once in a great while she will make a sound. The doctor told her today that Ariel lost her voice too. She told Jordan she will just have to learn to get her voice back.
Kelsey - that was Jordan on line the other night! She asked for my cell phone and she got on line and tried to text message Jenny and then you but I had no idea what to do or how to do it!
Alyssa - Happy Birthday! We hope it was special.
Kayla, Sally, Spring, Ida, Amber = Thanks for the video's she really loves them.
Thank you to all her friends and well wishers on the video's too!
I just asked Jordan what she wanted me to type on this blog to her friends.
She said "Tell them I miss them".
She does miss you all.
She asks to go home now several times a day.
She is still moving her left leg a little more every day but does not have movement in her left arm. She will reach across with her right arm and try to move her left arm. We told her we have a lot more therapy to do to work on her moving the arm and leg. But it will come. BELIEVE.
She is working with the tutor here at the hospital - his name is Hutch. He is really nice and Jordan likes him a lot. He already brought her in 2 soccer shirts. He used to coach. She is also working with Aspen the Child Life Specialist. They are making a scrapbook of her stay here at the hospital. You all know how much Jordan likes scrapbooking!
She also has a reward chart for special things she accomplishes during the day. She has already been rewarded twice with Cheetah Girls CD and her nurse gave her a CD player!
Her doctor from when she was down in the Special Care Unit came in today to visit with us. She is AMAZED at Jordans progress. She saw Jordan when she was still in a coma. Now Jordan is eating, drinking, whispering and going to the bathroom all with help. Jordan seems to have her long term memory and short term which is a huge step as well. We now need to get her to walk & use her voice. This will come with TIME and a lot of therapy.
We are so lucky to have such a big support system. We know the prayers worked. We are blessed and will never forget what you all have done for us.
Jordan is a miracle. We are so thankful to have her back. We cannot wait to get her back in school with her friends. I don't know if it will be this year but by next year I hope.
The plan is still home for Christmas! Jordan is counting the days!
Remember - visits are best between 6-7pm for Jordan.

hi, jordy!! how are u doing? i hope better because strep throat sucks. im just sitting here at school, being bored, listening to carrie underwood songs...which reminds me, do u remember when we went to the carrie underwood concert? that was SO awesome, when it was over we had to scream to hear each other! and at the begining when we were a little late getting there, tink (my older sister 4 those of u who dont kno) was racing through all the parking lots trying to find a place to park! i still have my ticket, and Im still gonna sell it for a million dollars when Im old and rotting - then go on a major shopping spree and blow it all!!!! remember when we were thinking up things to buy?! that was so fun!
I miss u SO much jordy, and i cant wait till i can come in to see u!!!! i love u SO much and i cant wait to give u a hug!!

Hi Jordan Bea!! It's Alyssa. I hope you are dealing with the Strep throat thing going around. I hope it doesn't get any worse. I MISS you. The only time I really ever got to see you was in the halls. Now that you're not there (at the moment) I can't see you. I've been trying to come in and see you, but they keep on blocking out visitors. I'll be in there at some point though. My birthday is tomorrow and I won't be able to focus in class because I'll be thinking of your party when Kelsey tried to stuff your face in the cakeand when you had that Halloween party. Oh no! Strep Throat! I heard that lots and lots of ice cream will help ;)! I know that you can overcome anything that steps in your path! Look how far you've come, what you've accomplished, and in such a little amount of time for such a the recovery! Your recovery will never be forgotten because it was such an amazing one! Only the strongest people could ever achieve what you have!

Brenda, I hope that you are feeling better SOON! It must be horrible to have to wear a mask when visiting Jordan! You are also very strong, strong enough to fight strep, cheer Jordan on, and still update everyone on this miraculous recovery!

How's it going?

Hey Jordan! How are you feeling? I hope the strep throat is going away. That must really stink. But don't get down, you are going to be absolutely fine! Everyone is still praying and believing for you. I know that this bump in the road is only a small one and you will be over it and back to where you were in no time! I have to say though, it must have been great to get outside the other day and enjoy the fall weather! Good for you! I love the fall, it's my favorite season! Can you believe that it is already November?! Time flies huh? I hope you keep on going Jordan! You are doing great! You are still always in my thoughts and prayers, I miss you so much!!

SUNDAY

Hi Everyone. It turned out that Jordan & I both have strep throat. I have been sick since Friday. I did not come in to see Jordan at all Friday (which just about killed me), I did have Aunt Cindy drive me in to see Jordan last night. I wore a face mask and I was on antibiotics for 24 hours but I just wanted to be sure not to spread it. Jordan tested positive today. She is still feeling lousy and complains about stomach pain alot. Jimmy & I took her outside today. We walked up to the park on top of the hill and picked up leaves that have fallen off the trees. Jordan did not want to go back in the hospital. I'm sure after 3 months she was really enjoying the wind in her hair and sun on her face. We didn't stay out too long as we do not want to make her any sicker. Dad came home today as well after 2 days away and she was very happy to see both of us. They are both napping now while I am typing this. The nurses have been AWESOME through all of this the last couple of days.
We need to get going on the deck & ramp for Jordan. We will be putting that in hopefully within the next couple of weeks. Winter is coming!
