Hi Everyone. It's Brenda & Jimmy on Saturday morning. Jordan looks beautiful. Her surgery went well yesterday and she looks so much better and I cannot keep of her face. She is going to get sick of all of my kisses. She is likeing my face massages so far! She is still maintaining her current medical status and is resting peacefully. We are missing my family and thinking of them at the Wedding today ~ oh how we wish we could be there!! Kyle & Laura brought us the most awesome CD last night from the Q radio station. (Thank you soooo much). They recorded all of Jordan's favorite songs and even left her messages on the tape. I will play it for her today. I have requested that the former Whiz Kids coach Gary Groves come to see Jordan. If you have the Portland Press Herald today there is a write up about him on the front page of the sports section. He has given up coaching to become a pastor in Gorham. He coached the Kids last year. We cant THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH for your prayers,messages,cards and gifts every day. Jordan and (we) have such a HUGE support system that is getting us through minute to minute, hour to hour, day to day. The only thing we want is Jordan ~ the only thing we ask from you is prayers and thoughts of Jordan. We BELIEVE & have HOPE & FAITH that this is what is going to bring her back to us. WALK FOR JORDAN INFORMATION

You may have heard about Jordan. She is a 13 year old girl from Windham (entering 8th grade at WMS). Jordan was in a car accident at Beechridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough on August 8th and is currently in the ICU Ward at Maine Medical Center in Portland with serious injuries. We will be doing a fund raiser for Jordan Emerson and her family on Sunday, September 16th from 10:00 am to noon at Windham High School track. Rain or Shine. We are asking for donations from the walkers and there will be silent auction items and a food table. If people would like to make a baked good or bring something to the walk to contribute to raise some funds, please let Terry Bickford or I know. (tbickford@unum.com or jdugas@unum.com)


We hope you can make it!!! For those of you who can't make it that day, there is a fund set up at TD Banknorth for Jordan and donations can be brought to any TD Banknorth branch. All checks should be made payable to "Jordan Emerson Fund". Also, if you want to mail your donation, you can send it to Beechridge Motor Speedway, c/o JORDAN EMERSON FUND, 70 Holmes Road, Scarborough, ME 04074.

I do not have a lot of e-mail addresses so I would ask that you PLEASE send an e-mail to everyone and anyone you know so we can get the support at the walk. You will soon see flyers all over the place about this. Also, next week look for collection cans at the variety stores and businesses around Windham to collect donations for the family.

Hey Jordan. I can't wait until you wake up and we can start hanging out like we used to. I have never had something like this happen to one of my friends, this all has made me miss the times when we used to spend so much time together. Rememeber when you, Mary Margaret, Alyssa, and me were sitting at my kitchen table having ice cream sundaes and we were all in sports bras! How old were we...like seven??!! haha. And remember we would be the cheetah girls. Remember going to your house in the winter and the dogs would run away and we would have to go find them. We always made that into a little adventure. And remember at your house when we would bounce that bouncy ball down your stairs. And remember when you, Ashleigh and me went to Crystal's house. We had some funny times there! Hey Jordan, Get well Soon! I miss you so much. Remember when we use to hangout like every day, and we would pretend that we were riders on our "big stuffed horses" that was the BEST! And remember the time we went Christmas carroling at your aunt Kim's house or somthing, and I tought You that song and we sang it for everyone. That was so fun!!! O and remember when we went to crystals and we had that really mean instructor and u were on Major and I was on Tanner and Tanner wouldent listen, and Major like flipped out, so your dad pulled you off from over the fence. Then we got a free lesson after that. That was kinda scary, but fun. Remember when we had the "giddy-up-club" and on the way there u me and Amanda would pretend that we were the Cheeta girls and sing our hearts out, not that we were any good. Haha. I loved riding with you Jordan, I hope that we can do it again soon. But we are going to hangout like old times, ok..we will go to the beach..the Mall..everywhrere. Good morning, Sunshine...

We have been reflecting over the past week on all the fun times we have shared with you and your family. We have so many special moments and look forward to sharing many, many more. Remember last summer when we went camping up to Mt. Blue? We had such a great time and the weather was perfect! I remember calling your Mom and asking her to have you pack lightly because we had all the food, blankets and pillows we would need in the camper - all you would need would be your clothes. Then the morning we were leaving, your Mom and Dad dropped you off at our house and they pulled out 5 jam packed bags full of pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, and clothes! Your Dad was so funny because he said "Jordan did just what you asked - she packed 5 bags instead of 6!" It was pretty funny! We had the best time up to Mt. Blue - swimming, climbing Tumbledown, painting on rocks, sitting by the camp fire singing and laughing until our stomachs hurt! We can't wait to do that with you again!!! Hey Jordan,

This is from the Nielsen family, Alyssa, Linda, Jeff & Jason. Do you remember the first time that you spent the night at our house? It was for Alyssa's 8th birthday party and there were so many of you girls, and "crazy Becky" was there too. I think you packed enough clothes to spend the night for an entire week and had an extra bag packed full of hair stuff. When you came back from putting on your pjs, do you remember all of the girls looking at you and asking "What are you WEARING?" You looked at all of them, standing there as though it was most perfectly normal for every 8 year old to be sleeping in pj bottoms and a "bra". Quite a spunky girl you are, channel some of that spunky energy into getting better.

The sweetest girl I know

I have had the great privilege of knowing Jordan ever since Brenda worked at the Cathy Manchester Team a few years ago. She has gone from child to pre-teen right before our eyes, but one things has remained the same: she has always been the sweetest little girl I know. She has a smile that lights up the room. She's so happy that just being in her presence makes you happy too.
On her first day of summer vacation this June, I showed up to show the house to some fellow Realtors. Jordan, (still in PJs) was not expecting me but she was, still, more then happy to help prepare the house and take the dogs outside for me. She smiled her ever bright smile and talked to me about how excited she was to race as she sat by her computer in the kitchen. I can still see, in my mind's eye, here beautiful face, and feel her presence. When I think about Jordan I remember the sunshine she brought to my day every single time I ever saw her.
You can still feel that brightness radiating from her in her room at the hospital. I look at her and expect her to wake up and smile and restore the world to all that is right. I look forward to the moment when Jordan is awake and present with us, fully, once again.
