Wednesday 11:45am

It is hard to believe that it will be 2 weeks tonight that this nightmare began. We have just talked with the trauma team and the plan is to take Jordan's (trach) out today and move her up to the Barbara Bush Wing. That means she can control her own secretions and swallow on her own so they do not feel she needs the hole for an airway anymore. This is very good! They just put it on on Friday! Although she is still in a coma she is receiving PT & OT therapy. They will talk to us about moving her to another facility. The ones we have looked at so far are in Atlanta, GA or Boston, Mass. They have not given us any time frames. It was explained to us that other facilities can start treating her in the coma state to try to bring her out of it. We are extremely PROUD of Jordan and her accomplishments so far. She has never taken a step backwards. We believe that she just needs more time to sleep to heal her brain. ALL other vital signs are great and her body is strong and healthy. She is fighting this fight and so are we!!
Love to you ALL & thanks again for all of the prayers, e-mails, cards and phone calls.
Keep it up & keep us going. We LOVE you ALL!! Brenda, Jordan and Jimmy

Hi Jim-Jim, Brenda and Jordan! What terrific news about the trach coming off....she is one strong little girl. I have been checking the blogs every day, so when Jim calls at night I can tell him what's happening. Her incredible improvement shows that one step at a time she is making her way back to you.....just be patient. Amazing things come to those who wait! All of our love, prayers and happy thoughts are with you. Smiles!!!!! Karen, Jim, & Will

Dear Jordan, Jimmy, and Brenda,
I speak for the whole town of Windham by saying that I am SO glad that things are getting better! My prayers are with you guys. Just stay strong, because you know we'll make it through. I know for a fact that the walk at the High School will have a huge turnout. Our whole community is rooting for you! I just want you to know that we are all thinking of you. Jordan get well soon, school won't be the same until you get back <3.
