WEDNESDAY A.M.

Good Morning to Everyone!
In case you haven't figured it out from the posts ~ Jordan gave me a "purposeful" hug yesterday. She made her nurse cry!! (me too!) She is working so hard it is amazing.
She picked her head up and her shoulders (I thought she was going to sit right up in bed).
She only made it a little ways but she was trying very hard. We had our weekly "Team" meeting yesterday and the therapists were so excited to give their reports. Jordan is doing some purposeful movements and seems to be really trying to communicate with us. It takes her a while to process but although delayed she does some commands. She is now off the pick line which was another form of nutrition off her. Her trach hole is healing well and she is off all monitors. The only thing she is getting is what they call NJ tube feeding through her nose.
This goes down through her belly and into her intestine to feed her. We get her into a wheelchair twice a day now to get her out of the bed and into a different environment for stimulation. We wheeled her down to the intensive care unit to visit with some of her nurses.
They were very pleased to see her. She is tollerating this well although sometimes it becomes too much for her. She has been cleared for friends to visit although the doctors want to make sure there is not too many in one day or at one time. They also want us to watch Jordan to make sure her repsonses to friends is positive. Sometimes children don't want their friends to see them in this condition and in Jordans case she probably doesn't understand what has happened to her and why she is in the hospital. Maybe we could try to set up some sort of schedule for visits ?!?
The tape you made for Jordan was awesome!! I have played it to her a couple of times. She really seems to get excited especially when she sees Arrissa!! Thank you so much for it.
See ~ all this prayers, love and support is working for Jordan so please "Bring It On"!!!!!!!
we Believe!
Love: Brenda, Jimmy & Jordan

The progress Jordan is making sounds so wonderful. We here are the Windham Independent have been following as well as we can. We would like to do a follow up story on Jordan and her fantastic progress. It would be great for the community to be energized b her progress before the BBQ on Saturday. If a representative from the family could call me that would be great. 892-6063
